hey jenn. idk if ur still wanting to make a tatt gun but heres how to do it.
WHAT YOU NEED
2 pens any kind (preferably the blue and white bics)
1 low E guitar string
duct tape
a button or a gear from a cd player. (I use the one that that cd rests on in the player)
a motor from a cdplayer or something like that
insulated copper wire (about 12 feet)
three D batteries.
wire cutters/strippers
needlenose pliers
THE PROCESS
take a pen and remove the inkwell. cut the end off the pen body about an inch and a half. remove the inwell from the tip and replace the tip. now take your guitar string and pull the outer wrapping off. u will need about 6-6.5 inches of the string so pull till u have that much. cut the string at the prescribed length. now holding the string horizontaly take the pliers verticle and line the end of the string up with the outside edge of the pilers and bend it at a 90 degree angle. from the edge of that bend do it again. now take the gear and cut a tiny hole somewhat close to the edge. take the string and pull the first bend thru the hole. put the gear on the motor. now take the second pen and pull the inkwell out of it. set the first pen on top of the second and line it up. hold the motor with the gear up to the end of the second pen and line it up so that you have a somewhat smooth action. remove the string from the pen and tape the two pens together adding a little hight to the first pen in necessary. now take the gear off the motor and line the motor up with the back of the second pen. tilt it just a tad and tape it to the pen. now put the string thru the first pen and put the gear back on the motor. now for the power. take the copper wire and cut it in half. strip both ends of both peices. take the batteries and tape them positve to negative if you want to now would be a good time to solder an end of each wire to the motors terminals. figure out which wire goes to which end of the batteries and tape them down. if you want to add an on/off switch be my guest. find some ink youre ready to tattoo someone.
