Alright folks, here’s a fun little project for you: A DIY Mason Jar Spout. If you’re looking to improve the look of your kitchen, then getting rid of the generic and boring iodized salt container is one of the first steps. Not only does this mason jar spout look better, but it comes in handy if you ever need to measure out salt. All you have to do is take the lid off and scoop out how much you need. Trust us, it will make your life so much easier.

Supplies

Mason jar (preferably wide mouth)

Wide mouth jar ring

Salt container with pour spout

Knife

Tape

Spray paint, your choice of color

 

Step 1. Cut off the top of the salt container, leave a lip so it can sit on the mason jar

The top is now cut off of the salt container

 

Step 2. Place the cut off top into the wide mouth jar ring

The salt container lid fits into the wide mouth jar ring

 

Step 3. Cover the pour spout with tape

Cover the pour spout with tape

 

Step 4. Spray paint the top and the mason jar ring the color of your choice. Allow to dry. Once dry, remove the tape from the pour spout

Step 5. Fit on top of the mason jar
