DIY Pallet Snowman

If you’ve been following my crafts for a while now, you’ll remember the DIY pallet fall scarecrow project that we did for fall time. Now that it is winter time, it’s time to retire the fall scarecrow and bring out something more wintery. For this pallet snowman, you will need to first follow the instructions from the fall scarecrow project because we will use that as a base for our pallet snowman. Click here for the instructions. This project is simple because all you have to do is paint.

Once you’ve completed the fall pallet scarecrow, you’re ready to make the pallet snowman.

Supplies Needed

  • DIY pallet fall scarecrow
  • Black paint
  • White paint
  • Orange paint
  • Paint brushes

Step 1. Paint the hat black

On the upper “hat” portion, take your paint brush and your black paint and paint the whole thing black. I usually stick with two coats of paint to give it a deep, rich look. Allow to dry completely.

Step 2. Paint the face white

On the lower “face” portion of your pallet snowman, take your white paint and paintbrush and coat the whole section. I recommend using two coats here as well. Allow to dry.

Step 3. Draw and paint the face

Once the white paint is dry, it is time to pencil in the face. There really isn’t a right or a wrong answer here. Try and make it look like a snowman with things like big eyes and a carrot shaped nose. After you have penciled in your face, paint the eyes, carrot nose and coal mouth. Allow to dry.
